After a full year of pondering and doodling, I am thrilled to announce the publication of my fourth children’s book, The Little Elf Finds His Spark!

The Little Elf Finds His Spark is a modern fairytale that celebrates kindness and self-acceptance for children aged 3 to 7. It is available on Amazon as both a paperback and an ebook.
This book is a sequel to The Little Fairy Finds Her Glow. The Ontario Arts Council generously funded both books and I am incredibly grateful for their support. The sheer number of hours it takes to finish a project like this is immense, and without the funding, I don’t know how I would have found the time to create.
Since publication, things have been tough. Compared to my previous books, sales have been slow. I’m exhausted from trying to figure out a marketing strategy that works. Sometimes, just like the little elf, I want to quit.
But I’m a children’s book creator. Most of my characters face struggles and sadness, and I don’t let them quit. So, it would be a bit hypocritical of me to do so.
Plus, I have a little kid who loves everything I create. 🙂
Making money from art is a rollercoaster journey. It’s hard to stay centred. Having a sparkly-eyed child in your home can definitely help get you out of your head, though!
